Art! Turner! Wright!

Well, I wrote about going to the Turner Prize 2009 exhibition before, and they just announced the winner:

Richard Wright, whose exhibition mainly consisted of the amazing Gold Leaf wall piece above, and whose work is always painted over once the exhibition has finished. He was my second favourite after Roger Hiorns, but I think he was the deserved winner.

It really was a beautiful piece, and the temporary nature of it, and the way the space inspired it (taking cues from the Tate Britain itself) was really interesting.
